What clients ask most — and how I handle it.

• 01 How long does the install take? +

  For a typical 4-room flat, usually 5–10 working days depending on scope. A full family-home install with heating, PV and multimedia can run 2–4 weeks. You get a precise schedule in the proposal.
• 02 Will I be without power during the install? +

  Most work happens with the breakers on. When we can't avoid switching off (e.g. swapping out the panel), we tell you in advance which hours will be without power so you can plan around it.
• 03 Does it work with my existing wiring and alarm? +

  In most cases yes — Home Assistant has native integrations for alarms (Jablotron, Paradox), boilers, AC units, heat pumps and more. Shelly modules cover the power side wherever you want to add control. We assess your specifics on site.
• 04 Can I retrofit room by room or in phases? +

  Strongly recommended for larger flats and houses. We start where the impact is biggest — typically living room and lighting — and add over time. Shelly + Home Assistant is ideal for phased work: you add module by module, with no central gateway you have to buy up-front.
• 05 What happens if I move or sell the house? +

  Fixtures like smart switches, thermostats and control panels stay with the property and add value. Mobile parts (servers, controllers) can move with you, and we can hand the system over to the new owner — paid or free, by arrangement.
• 06 What warranty do you give? +

  Workmanship: 24 months. Hardware: the manufacturer warranty (typically 24–60 months). Minor warranty service is handled within 48 hours.
• 07 Can I manage the smart home myself afterwards? +

  Yes. At handover I walk you through everything so you can add a scene, a switch or a bulb yourself. Deeper changes (logic, integrating new devices) you can do yourself or hire me for — your choice.
• 08 Does the smart home work without internet? +

  Yes. I build systems so the core functions — switches, scenes, heating, shading — run locally. Internet is only needed for remote access from outside the home.
• 09 Where do you work? +

  Prague and a 60 km radius with no surcharge. Brno, Plzeň, České Budějovice and other major cities by arrangement — for larger projects there's no travel charge.
• 10 How is the price calculated? +

  Hardware at purchase prices with a transparent markup, labour either hourly or fixed depending on project type. Proposals are itemised. The first consultation is free and non-binding.
